A leading Asset Manager with a global presence are currently looking to for a 1st/2nd line Support Engineer.

These roles are pivotal in providing front-line support to our diverse user base, encompassing VIPs, traders, operations, finance, portfolio management, marketing, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt and effective 1st/2nd line support to users, resolving technical issues related to desktops, applications, and peripherals.
  • Manage user setups, desk moves, and other routine tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Collaborate with the wider Technology team to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Act as a point of contact for user inquiries, providing clear communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Proactively contribute to BAU support activities, emphasizing timely issue resolution and user satisfaction.
  • Participate in project work, such as office rollouts and Microsoft online migrations, as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar financial services environment, demonstrating a solid understanding of front-line support operations.
  • Proficiency in typical Windows environments, including user setups, desk moves, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with users at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative team.
  • Flexibility to work occasional out-of-hours shifts and weekends, as required.
  • Shift Pattern:
  • Coverage is required from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and will be split into two patterns: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm and 9:00 am - 5:30 pm. Out-of-hours work may be necessary on occasion but will not be regular, and weekend work will be very occasional.
