Security: Engineer: Mobile: Application: Design: Strategy: Technical

One of my clients, a reputable name in the Banking sector, is looking to hire an experienced Mobile Application Security Engineer to be an SME within their commercial and digital banking space. The Security Engineer will be a driving force when it comes to high-profile strategy work, providing robust and highly-rigorous technical security designs around their mobile app estate.

As this is a technical security role focussed around mobile application security, they will want this person to have an extensive amount of experience of designing a state-of-the-art security framework for mobile apps, advising on what recommendations can be made to achieve a high level of protection for their mobile app, all in a regulated environment.

As a key contributor in this role, you will be expected to:

• Work with feature teams across the technical spectrum, influencing them when it comes to good security practice around mobile app development.
• Share your knowledge of mobile app development and the risks involved when it comes to security around customer data.

To achieve this, they expect this person to have a proven track record in the following:

• Designing a rigorous yet seamless security experience on a customer-facing mobile app within the financial services space.
• Strong exposure to Mobile security testing as well as various automation and DevOps tools.
• Hands-on experience of Mobile platform security, threat models and mitigation techniques.
• Background or hands-on knowledge in Mobile development
