The Role:

An opportunity to join a highly technology-driven investment business where network infrastructure is treated as a core part of the firm's success. This role sits within a specialist infrastructure engineering team responsible for building and scaling highly automated network environments that support demanding research, engineering and trading workloads.

Rather than spending your time on traditional operational support, you'll focus on developing automation, improving reliability, and creating engineering solutions that allow large-scale infrastructure to be managed safely and efficiently.

This is a role for engineers who enjoy building systems, improving automation and reducing operational risk through engineering-led solutions rather than manual processes.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Build and enhance network automation tooling for large-scale infrastructure environments.
• Develop automated workflows that improve deployment, change management and operational consistency.
• Create and maintain network infrastructure as code, with strong testing and validation practices.
• Integrate network platforms with APIs, monitoring tools and operational workflows.
• Drive improvements in observability, telemetry and automated remediation capabilities.
• Work closely with infrastructure, platform and engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.

What You Bring:

• Strong software development skills, particularly using Python.
• Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible.
• Good understanding of modern network engineering principles and large-scale environments.
• Familiarity with Linux systems, scripting and infrastructure tooling.
• Experience using version control and engineering best practices within production environments.
• Knowledge of monitoring, testing and automation techniques used in highly available infrastructure estates.
