Application Support; SWIFT; MQ Series; Scripting; Linux
One of my clients, a reputable name in the financial services space, is looking to hire an Application Support Analyst with experience supporting SWIFT applications. This is because you will come into a team that are responsible for the upkeep and troubleshooting of the client's SWIFT systems that are utilised by various users across different business streams.
You will also support several other applications and learn new skills while doing so, however there are some key pre-existing skills the client needs you to have to be right for this particular position:
- Previous Application Support (level 3) experience supporting SWIFT applications.
- Linux scripting experience using either bash, ksh as well as Python.
- Experience in managing and configuring IBM MQ Series (ideally versions 8 & 9)
- Strong database development knowledge in SQL.
This is a varied role where you will gain exposure to different types of applications and face of to a variety of business users. You will be paid any overtime or on-call work you do, and the standard hours are either 8-4pm, 9-5pm or 10-6pm. The bonus culture within the team is also very good.
