React Developer - UI / JavaScript / HTML5 - Front Office Analytics - Banking - London

An established London based Bank is looking for an experienced React Developer to work on the greenfield design and build of a new Data Analytics platform for its Front Office business.

Candidates will require:

  • Strong commercial track record of designing, developing and delivering React based Front Ends into production
  • Design, build and implementation of real-time, complex, web based front ends ideally within a trading, pricing or risk environment
  • Strong core JavaScript development
  • OO Design and development
  • Design patterns
  • Agile, TDD, Scrum
  • Understanding of front to back architectures
  • Developing well-structured, fully tested, clean, production ready code
  • Any experience with Angular or Python would be beneficial but not essential=

The role will play a key part in the design and build of a new Data Science and Analytics platform to be used across Sales, Trading and Risk. They are currently in the process of setting up the initial platform offering and building out the KDB and Hadoop infrastructure and require JavaScript expertise in React to build the next generation Front End and other tools which will be used to generate and distribute analytics of large amounts of data across all areas of the business.

The role will offer a unique opportunity to play an integral part in the build out of the new platform as well as offer the chance to gain experience in KDB, Hadoop, Spark and deploying to AWS

This is a fantastic and rare opportunity to play a critical and integral part in the long term design and implementation of greenfield GUI.
