We take our role as a business and employer seriously and have a clear strategy on how best to deliver this proactively and responsibly; with the aim of exceeding ethical, legal, commercial and public expectations.
There are 3 main strands to our CSR activities.
Environment - We’re committed to reducing our direct impact on the environment by actively managing our waste, emissions and consumption of natural resources. We are also promoting environmental awareness amongst partners and staff.
People - We aim to create a workplace that encourages diversity and equal opportunities for all. We actively encourage professional development and support employee health and wellbeing.
Community - To play a positive role in society, we’ve built a culture that promotes employee volunteering and fundraising. We actively support the communities in which we operate.
Our goal is to ensure that these commitments, reinforced by our values, are embedded in our day-to-day working practices with all our customers, colleagues and partners.
We want to have a positive impact on wider society and below are just a few examples of the things we do to contribute to our communities:
Through our ‘Refer a friend’ scheme we make a donation of £250 to the referrer’s charity of choice
In 2018 we raised money for the charity Seeing is Believing as part of the Standard Chartered Great City Race
In March 2019 we completed the Tower 42, Vertical Rush challenge in aid of Shelter
We work with the EY Foundation to provide support at Career & Enterprise Company (CEC) funded employability sessions. This involves us visiting schools to work with young people in years 9 – 13, including those at risk of being Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET); to build their skills and raise their aspirations.
