A leading global bank is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join a team building front office pricing and trade construction tools. This role is ideal for engineers who thrive on complexity, enjoy close collaboration with the business, and want to deepen their understanding of derivative products.

You will be working on a well-established platform used by traders and structurers to price and customise complex financial products. The role involves both development and ongoing enhancement of user interfaces and backend services, with integration into pricing models developed by quant teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain software for a front office pricing and trade construction platform.
  • Build and enhance both UI and API components.
  • Collaborate closely with trading and quant teams to deliver business-critical features.
  • Support the full trade lifecycle, from construction through execution

Tech:

  • Primary Language: C# (Framework 4.8)
  • Data: SQL
  • Large-scale, mature codebase with long-term investment and roadmap.
  • Future potential for cloud migration.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong programming skills in C#, ideally within large, enterprise systems.
  • Understanding of financial products, particularly derivatives or options.
  • Comfortable working closely with front office teams and presenting functionality to end users.
  • Experience with pricing models or quant libraries is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and clear communication skills.

Why apply:

  • Business-Facing Work: Direct interaction with traders and quants.
  • Product Complexity: Exposure to sophisticated, structured financial products.
  • Customisation Over Speed: Focus is on building rich, flexible tools-not ultra-low latency systems.
  • Strategic Development: Opportunity to shape how complex trades are priced and managed.
