Back End Developer (PHP, Symfony, SQL) - £60-70k

 

A digital client of mine are looking for an experienced Back End Developer (PHP, Symfony, SQL) to join their expanding team based in central London.

 

The Back End Developer (PHP, Symfony, SQL) will be responsible for the development and architecture of the back end platforms, building microserverices and RESTful APIs, promoting best practices and mentoring more junior developers, liaising closely with the front end team and key stakeholders.

 

The successful Back End Developer (PHP, Symfony, SQL) will have a mix of the following skills:

 

  • Strong commercial experience with PHP7
  • In depth knowledge of Symfony framework
  • Knowledge of SQL with an Object-relational Mapper (ORM)
  • Experience in architecting and building microservices and RESTful APIs
  • Experience working in an agile environement
  • Experience with unit testing
  • Knowledge of Git
  • Previous experience integrating with 3rd party APIs
  • Experience of NodeJS would also be beneficial
