Our Investment banking Client is looking for a C++ engineer with a keen interest in low latency trading to join a market leading Front Office Equities team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement cutting-edge low latency Market Connectivity solutions & Pre-trade systems. You will work closely with their experienced development team to design, build, and maintain the systems that provide Market Data and Order Execution capabilities to clients.

You will gain experience in the full lifecycle of market solutions, from initial design and development to testing, deployment and ongoing maintenance.

This is an excellent opportunity for either someone in a similar team within another bank, looking for a new challenge and progression, or from another low latency area, either within banking/or from outside of industry. Successful applicants should have good knowledge of concurrency techniques and a keen interest in finance.

Candidates should have expertise in the following areas:

• C++ development and concurrency techniques
• Linux scripting
• Understanding of low latency techniques and performance optimization
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, UDP/Multicast would be nice to have
• Ideally some exposure to FIX connectivity
