Business Analyst: Data Analyst: Operational Risk; Data; SQL; Finance; UAT; Basel

One of my clients, a reputable Bank, is looking to hire a Data Analyst to play a key part on an Operational Risk project. The specific project team that this role sits within support functions such as risk management and finance change, but the management team really wants someone from a data background for this role.

You will be supporting a large cloud-based programme that focusses on data transformation from the Operational Risk business to their chosen cloud platform - GCP. Other responsibilities include:

  • Sitting with users within Ops Risk Management to gather requirements and translate these into detailed data technical specifications.
  • Design and implement modern, scalable data solutions across the division.
  • Conducting complex data mapping and data analysis when needed.
  • Perform Data Analysis to identify data gaps.

To be right for this role, you will need the following experience in your CV/previous roles:

  • A Data Analyst who has a deep understanding of data analytics and a proven track record of working on banking projects.
  • Gathering requirements from users (ideally within Risk Management) and translating these into technical data specs.
  • Good SQL experience
  • Any Cloud experience highly beneficial.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-profile project where there is scope to extend on the initial 6-month contract to the latter part of next year. The team are mostly remote but would require onsite presence in their London location once a week.

Please note this is a PAYE contract going through an Umbrella company. The rate quoted above is the Umbrella rate.
