Data Engineer - Big Data - Investment Banking

Our client, a Global Bank, is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to work on the development of one of their Investment Banking Data platforms.

You will work as part of a highly experienced Data Engineering team that brings an innovative approach to the maintenance of cross-bank systems, focusing on using the latest technologies and practices, as part of a focus to maintain the efficiency of and add value to the business.

Candidates will need:

• Extensive experience with Hadoop based and Big Data systems
• Strong knowledge of: Java, Kafka, Spark and HDFS
• Any previous experience with Test driven development is highly beneficial
• Experience with cloud deployment via GCP also nice to have

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the development of a large-scale long-term development project.
