Full Stack Angular Java Role - Investment Banking

An established Global Bank is looking for an experienced Full Stack Angular, Java Developer to join their growing development team.

The role will work closely with the Front Office Sales, Trading & Quant users, and involve playing a pivotal part in the re-design and development of a highly recognised Indices platform used by both internal teams and external clients.

The current stack uses Angular 7, Typescript, Java, and Spring and follows an Agile approach with daily Scrums and a focus on lean, continuous delivery. The ideal candidate will come from a strong Software Engineering background and be comfortable working on highly complex and technically challenging distributed systems from the point of inception. It will also offer the opportunity to work closely with the business and learn various product sets. The successful candidate will work on rebuilding the existing platform and expanding it by adding new functionalities.

Candidates must have:

A strong front end development background delivering complex web-based UIs in Angular (version 7+)
Strong Typescript and ngRX
Strong Core Java development with Spring, and experience deploying things in Java
Good experience building Java applications to expand the middle tier API
Strong experience in Agile Methodologies, TDD, Continuous Integration
Developing well-structured, fully tested, clean, production ready code
Any exposure to derivative products or what an index is advantageous
Banking knowledge is preferable but not essential
