Full Stack Engineer - Trading Platform Desktop Team

A leading Investment Bank is seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join a central team responsible for developing a modern desktop platform used across trading and technology. This is a high-impact role that combines engineering, platform strategy, and direct business engagement.

You'll help shape a newly built internal platform that supports a large number of teams and applications, playing a key role in scaling its adoption and capabilities.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Build and support tools that other development teams use to deliver trading applications
  • Work with both modern front-end (React or Angular) and back-end (Spring/REST) technologies
  • Contribute to platform features such as application orchestration, integration tooling, and cloud enablement
  • Collaborate with internal users, including technical teams and front-office users
  • Support onboarding efforts as more teams transition onto the platform
  • Help define how applications are delivered in a desktop container environment

Key requirements:

  • Strong Full Stack engineering skills
  • Experience with modern UI frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Java/Spring and RESTful APIs
  • Exposure to cloud environments, ideally AWS
  • Experience with desktop integration platforms (e.g., OpenFin or Electron)
  • Understanding of financial or trading systems is highly beneficial
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Why Join?

  • Be part of a highly visible, business-critical platform initiative
  • Work directly with users and gain insight into real-world trading workflows
  • Join a team where engineering is the focus - not just UI work
  • Influence how next-gen tools are built and integrated across a large tech ecosystem
