IT Manager: ITIL: Supplier Management: Cloud: Networks: Windows: Java: Security

One of my clients, a reputable financial services client, is looking to hire an IT Manager to join one of their key engineering divisions looking after a suite of crucial applications and systems across two major business units. The team play a crucial role in ensuring that the systems are running smoothly from an operational, performance and security perspective and this IT Manager will play a leading role in managing and co-ordinating the IT Operation for these applications. This is more of a strategic role but the client does need someone who comes from a background where they have managed the running of IT Systems.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of the applications and systems portfolio and ensuring these systems are reporting smoothly.
  • Ensuring regular reporting to senior management on risks/issues/security concerns etc.
  • Participate in a strategic conversation reviewing IT and shared services performance.
  • Support supplier management activities and contract management

For this role, you must have a proven track record in the following:

  • Good level of knowledge of on-prem client server solutions.
  • Strong ITIL knowledge/experience including problem and incident management.
  • Good experience managing and influencing staff across different areas of the organisation.
  • Experience working on a cloud technology project

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful, profitable organisation that are investing huge sums into IT and are embarking on some exciting, highly transformational projects over the next few years that you will play a key role in.

You will be expected to work 2 days a week in the office, three days a week from home.
