IT Support - Networks - Cisco - Linux - VMWare - Java

My client, a highly successful software company based in London, is looking to hire an IT Support Engineer with excellent knowledge around Networks (switches/routers), Linux (command lines) and ideally some storage and virtualisation to work as part of a small team in a Greenfield technology environment supporting the compnay's production services and development teams.

The team focus on both the BAU support , implementation and operational maintenance of a flagship platform used by external companies as well as project work within the Operations space and thus you will be expected to follow a support ticket management process along with SLA reporting and regular daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions.

You will therefore need to come from a support background and have strong experience with the following:

• Cisco network equipment (switches / routers)

• TCP/IP Network design and troubleshooting
• Familiarity with Linux operating system administration
• Virtualisation technology (xen, kvm, vmware etc)

This role will involve on-call work over the weekend although the chances of you getting called are rare. It is a unique opportunity to join a growing company that are passionate about technology and promoting from within.
