Java Developer - Middle Office - Investment Banking

Our client, a leading global Investment Bank, are looking for an experienced Java Developer with Front end technology experience to join their team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the redesign and transformation of several major in-house applications in order to move to a more modern tech stack.

This role will involve working closely with users on the design and implementation of the new platform, ensuring that it is scalable, robust and performing to the highest standard, as well as mentoring other team members and reviewing their coding and design.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to new technologies on a project with a long-term pipeline including a cloud migration. The ideal candidate will have:

• Extensive core Java experience
• Investment Banking background
• Experience using web based front end technologies (Ideally React or Angular)
• Commercial experience of Eureka and Zuul nice to have
• Knowledge of queueing software (ideally Kafka) also desirable
• Strong communication skills

This is a PAYE Contract via Umbrella. The rate quoted is the umbrella rate
