Product Manager: Product Owner: Agile

One of my clients, a reputable name in the Banking sector, is looking to hire a Product Owner/Manager to lead the vision and roadmap of a key, flagship product within the bank that is used externally by a number of organisations.

The role sits in an innovation layer of the bank who are tasked with thinking of new products and features and bringing them to market. One such solution, which was created a few years ago, has been running successfully but the team would like someone to come in and really take it to the next level, in terms of its functionality and evolutionary possibilities.

You will be:

  • Ensuring the backlog is managed and maintained whilst also helping to drive programme iteration objectives.
  • Working with and influencing very senior stakeholders to get them to buy into the vision of the product and where you want to take it.
  • Articulating the vision for the pathway for the product to multiple business areas.
  • Working with a global team across different timezones in a fast-paced, Agile, two-weekly sprint environment.
  • Not simply working on adding functionality - this role encompassed work around content and how best to market the product.

Ideally you will have:

  • A proven track record in product management, ideally within the financial services space (FinTechs are preferred but not essential).
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and achieving buy-in from them.
  • Experience working with geographical teams in different timezones.
  • Ideally a technical background working with APIs.
  • Experience managing a product from either inception or picking one up after it has been rolled out and improving its output considerably.

The Bank operate a hybrid working model - there is lots of flexibility to work from home and they pay an excellent compensation package.
