Project Manager: Payments: Retail Banking: Gateways: Merchant

Our client, a reputable name in the retail banking space, is looking to hire a Project Manager to join a busy team and manage a portfolio of projects within the payments domain.

They're looking for someone to join on a contractual basis, initially for 6-months however there is a high likelihood of this being extended. They need someone who has a personable and organised demeanour and who has experience managing a portfolio of projects within the banking space, ideally within the Payments domain.

Some of the projects that you will work on include initiatives around payments gateways, payments channels, retail transactions and merchant banking. It would therefore be highly desirable if you have experience in these fields.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Managing budgets and revenue across projects
  • Provide regular project reports within agreed timescales.
  • Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships.
  • Act as a point of escalation for clients and third parties involved in various implementation projects.
  • Managing project issues and risk to avoid deviation from the project plan and costs.

To be right for this role, the client would like to see a track record of the following in your CV:

  • Experience managing projects within the payments domain.
  • Industry knowledge around payments infrastructure including gateways and various other payment solutions.
  • Strong experience in managing stakeholder relationships and interacting with different areas of a Bank.
  • Ideally a Prince 2 qualification (or equivalent)

This is a fantastic role working for a leader within the retail banking field and on some key, game-changing projects for the Bank.

This is a hybrid working role where you have plenty of flexibility to work from home, however they would expect you in their London offices once a fortnight for team meetings.

Please note this is a PAYE contract rate, not going through an Umbrella.
